Autumn changes

Posted by The Beeline Company on Wednesday, September 28, 2016,

As the leaves start to change, and the weather turns cooler, Beeline is embracing the new season with a new-look website and online ordering facility. We've worked hard to make our updated website quick and easy for you to use, and new technology has allowed us to offer a bigger product range than ever before. There's a useful search facility, so just type in fleece or waterproof (or whatever it is you need to protect you from the elements) and a selection of suitable clothing will pop up. If...

Charity Coffee Morning - a Thank You!

Posted by Kate Thomas on Thursday, November 19, 2015,
Christmas arrived a little early at Beeline this year, (November 14th to be exact!), and saw us holding a Coffee Morning in aid of fabulous local charity Phoenix Bereavement Support.

We had a steady stream of happy visitors over four hours, who enjoyed catching up with friends, seeing our embroidery machinery in action, and tasting Mel's delicious mince pies and coffee cake. We received this thank you note shortly afterwards:

"Dear Beeline, what a splendid do you put on in your premises on Satu...

Summer season

Posted by Kate Thomas on Wednesday, July 15, 2015,
We're in the throes of our busiest production time of the year. Not surprisingly, we're doing a roaring trade on t-shirts in this warm weather.

During school Summer holidays, some of our staff also take a well earned break to spend time with their families. Consequently, our schedule is tightly packed for the next few weeks.

Rotas are all in place, but please remember to give us as much notice as possible if you have a particular deadline for your order.

Thank you!

Fantasy versus reality

Posted by Kate Thomas on Monday, February 23, 2015,
We recently attended an industry trade show, where gigantic new embroidery machines whirred away, working on specially prepared designs. One particular design contained 116,000 stitches.
Whilst this is a superb platform for showing what the machines are capable of, in the real world it's just not viable to produce embroidered designs of such size and detail. The person running the machine estimated each garment would take over four and a half hours to embroider!
Our challenge is to create de...

A milestone birthday...

Posted by Kate Thomas on Friday, May 3, 2013,
Spring 2013 sees The Beeline Company celebrating a quarter of a century in business. Time, as they say, has flown, and we have made many good friends over the years and printed many, many garments along the way.

It's exciting to see that business is constantly evolving, and we are fortunate to have very good internet access even though we are 'out in the sticks', allowing us to keep pace with ever increasing electronic trade (which is good news for trees but not so good perhaps for our eyesigh...

Sunny weather....

Posted by Kate Thomas on Monday, July 23, 2012, In : Summer at Beeline

What a difference the weather makes! We've been busy printing lots of t-shirts over the last few weeks, wondering whether the weather will ever cheer up enough for people to actually wear them outside! And finally it's arrived. We're screen printing for Edinburgh festival, a national sporting event, Summer schools, and local tourism to name a few. Happy days :)

Prices changes in July

Posted by Kate Thomas on Tuesday, June 19, 2012,
We have discovered that price changes are likely in early July. This could be down, as well as up. But we won't find out for a few days.

If you have received a quotation from us for printed or embroidered garments, please note that we can only hold the prices for the period stated, so please order now to avoid disappointment.

Thank you :)

Where did May go?

Posted by Kate Thomas on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, In : May at home
Perhaps it's a sign of getting older, but the month of May seems to have flown by.

The lilac flowers in the garden are over, and a rather superb show of flag irises has started.

Oh, and we've printed and embroidered masses of garments too. In fact, it's been our busiest May for some years.

So busy we even missed the Tweet Up at The Courtyard in Hereford.

Late nights working take their toll, so, please do bear with us, as we plan to have a well earned break over the forthcoming Bank Holiday weeken...

Fresh start

Posted by Kate Thomas on Tuesday, May 15, 2012,
Pleased to report the blackbirds' nest is almost complete.

And, despite their best acrobatic efforts, the chickens are still not able to reach the meal worms for the garden birds on the bird table!

The importance of preparation...

Posted by Kate Thomas on Friday, May 4, 2012, In : May at home
I moved my car from the driveway yesterday, it having been abandoned for several days in favour of my husband's pick up truck due to the floods. I was dismayed to discover a bird's nest had fallen from the engine on to the ground. Closer inspection revealed a perfect blackbird's nest, a cosy mixture of moss, mud and dried grass.

Thankfully, no eggs had yet been laid.

And this morning, at breakfast, we were witness to Mr. and Mrs. Blackbird returning to renew their nest building efforts. This ti...
